If you’ve already checked out our Buenos Aires content, you’ll know we have you covered for the best restaurants and things to do. But you also need one of the best hotels in Buenos Aires to lay your head at night.

Luckily, the city is packed with unique bases for your trip. Character-packed 19th-century Palacios, homey boutique micro-hotels, and forward-facing modern properties all feature in the city’s dynamic scene, with an equally broad range of budgets to boot.

Get planning. These are some of the best hotels in Buenos Aires.

Be Jardin Escondido by Coppola

Location: Gorriti
Price: $290+
Vibe: Small hotel; big name; bigger comfort
The rundown: As the name suggests, Be Jardin is closely associated with legendary film director Francis Ford Coppola, who lived in the house while filming the movie Tetra. After falling in love with the property and Buenos Aires as a whole, he helped build it into a micro-hotel.

Built inside a historic townhouse in the trendy district of Palermo, the hotel’s seven rooms revolve around a tranquil inner patio. Each is unique but tied together by an excellent eye for detail, homey luxury, and superb service. You could do far worse than this little hotel.

Palacio Duhau

Location: Alvear Avenue
Price: $700
Vibe: ’30s extravagance
The rundown: Bursting from the ‘30s in an extravagant stream of luxury, the Palacio Duhau is arguably the best hotel in the city. Situated in the stunning Recoleta district, marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and remarkable service is the norm here. But don’t worry about it getting a little stuffy; despite its elegance, it retains an unpretentious atmosphere.

Rooms run high here, starting at around $700 a night. But considering similar or lower-end hotels in the US or Europe, it still somehow represents good value.

Vain Boutique Hotel

Location: Calle Thames
Price: $130+
Vibe: High-value comfort base
The rundown: Dropped perfectly in the middle of Palermo Soho, Vain Boutique is the perfect hotel to base yourself for a budget-friendly stay in the city. With rooms running at just $130 a night, you would be forgiven for assuming standards might be lower. But excellent service, clean, well-designed rooms, and some stellar amenities like outdoor whirlpool baths set this property apart.

Alvear Palace Hotel

Location: Recoleta
Price: $390
Vibe: Unapologetic historical luxury
The rundown: While other luxury hotels haphazardly work to realign with the modern age, the Alvear owns its nostalgic splendor—donning its white butler gloves, golden duvets, and crystal chandeliers with a smirk.

A stay here is as much a historical visit as anything. As the first luxury hotel to open in Buenos Aires, it’s garnered a reputation over the decades, allowing it to lean heavily into its admittedly outdated but wonderful decor. Its food is legendary, the rooftop bar is one of the city’s best, and there’s no doubt a stay here will be unforgettable.

Anselmo Buenos Aires

Location: Anselmo
Price: $130
Vibe: Contemporary comfort
The rundown: Anselmo was Hilton’s first South American property open under its Curio collection—generally independent hotels operating under Hilton that retain a little more character.

It’s an excellent exercise in building contemporary lodgings in a historic building. Outside, you’ll find a typical 19th-century facade; inside, a bright, modern hotel with 70 rooms. It won’t change your life, but its strong location, excellent value for money, and consistency go a long way.

As it’s a Hilton hotel, you can also use points to stay here. Check out the best hotel credit cards to get your trip rolling.

Fierro Hotel

Location: Palermo Hollywood
Price: $219+
Vibe: Simple, sleek, and damn tasty
The rundown: Fierro is ideally located in the middle of Palermo, placing the best of Buenos Aires at your front door. Inside, well-designed rooms, sleek decor, and lovely service make life easy and comfortable—all for a solid price.

But we’re really putting this here for the excellent restaurant. A foodie hotel through and through, breakfast and lunch are amazing, but its seven-course wine-paired dinner validates all the hype. Dig in.

Hotel de Casco

Location: San Isidro
Price: $260+
Vibe: Opulent city escape
The rundown: Originally built as a getaway Palacio for a rich family in the late 1800s, Hotel de Casco has stuck true to its roots. The stunning white-columned neoclassical property has been renovated to perfection and makes for the perfect city escape if downtown gets a little too much.

Rooms are big, bright, and beautiful, adorned with antiques and artwork pertaining to the area. The quiet surroundings make for a wonderful change of pace, as do the excellent restaurants nearby. It’s also just a 10-minute walk to the banks of the river.
