It’s Valentine’s Day soon, and while a nice dinner and a gift are a great (if unoriginal) choice, it’s high time you went above and beyond. A romantic evening, weekend, or even a week in a fantastic hotel makes for a Valentine’s to remember.

The Rundown: If you feel like avoiding the swarms heading for New York, Chicago makes for a wonderful big-city alternative. City views, impeccable service, and fireplace-equipped suites forge a romantic atmosphere at this stunning luxury hotel in central Chicago. Many rooms come with their own balcony, perfect for a loved-up breakfast before heading out to sample the best the city has to offer.
Kehoe House, Savannah
The Price: Savannah $219+
The Feel: Cherry blossomed Southern Romance
The Rundown: Kehoe House was named the most romantic hotel in the US back in 2019, so we can’t not include this Southern Belle. The building itself is a historic piece of Savannah – already one of the country’s prettiest towns–but the attention to detail from the owners separates Kehoe from the rest.
Enchantment Resort, Sedona
The Price: $450+
The Feel: Desert Oasis…of loooveeee
The Rundown: Find a more spectacular location for a luxury resort than Enchantment. The soaring red cliffs of Sedona, Arizona, serve as the backdrop for this beautifully designed resort. The Rundown: North Carolina’s finest hotel is a favorite of Barack Obama. Not that thinking of the former President is romantic, but it says something about the quality of the place. The incredible slate-covered building stares out over Asheville, one of the country’s most exciting small cities, draping itself over the ridge on different levels. Its atmospheric subterranean spa is a highlight, as is the gigantic fireplace in the lobby and the guestroom’s specially designed oak furnishings.
Enjoying a sunset dinner from one of the hotel’s four restaurants is so romantic, it may cause you to reach for a ring, even if you don’t have one.
