There’s a good reason everyone is lusting over Lufthansa’s upgraded seating and cabins. The decade-old cabins are getting a much-needed upgrade with some exciting new features. The Allegris upgrade, as they are calling it, will refresh their planes from nose to tail.
The upgrades should be available as soon as next year on some planes and more by 2025.
Take a look below at all the upgrades, from first class to economy.
In first class, customers will find three feet wide seats and a privacy door. Each suite also comes with a personal wardrobe. Once in your PJs, you’ll be able to convert the seat to a flatbed and catch some Zs.
The business class now offers direct aisle access and two tiers of seats. Now customers can choose between a regular business class suite or a suite in the bulkhead row. The latter comes with extended personal space, a 27-inch monitor, a personal wardrobe, and a door.
For the folks taking economy, like me, there’s hope for us too. Lufthansa’s new premium economy seats will be based on a hard shell and allow you to move your seat without affecting the people behind you. It will also have bigger monitors and fold-out leg rest.
Regular economy class will also get two new upgrades as part of its Sleeper’s Row 2.0. The first rows of the economy cabin will have bigger seat pitches and fold-up leg rests and mattresses will be provided. Lufthansa will also allow travelers to buy empty seats next to them.
