Hilton is emphasizing new year, new me, with the launch of Spark by Hilton, its first premium economy hotel brand focusing on simple, reliable, and clean stays, growing entirely by renovating existing hotels and listing rooms at an affordable price.

Spark hotels will generally charge between $85 and $105 per night and will likely be found near restaurants and gas stations on side streets or off interstate highways.

“The impetus was the notion that the consumer is evolving post-pandemic. People are looking for bargains. They’re traveling in record numbers, but they want to do so on a budget.”, Hilton’s chief brand officer, Matt Schuyler shared.

This new brand has already signed “more than 100 deals in various stages of development across the US.” It promises to meet the needs of travelers who seek value, quality, and consistency, with a debut expected this year.

What amenities will Spark hotels offer?

  • Rooms with modern furniture, open closets, well-lit bathrooms, in-room refrigerators, and multipurpose work surfaces.

  • 24-hour digital check-in and Hilton’s digital room key.

  • Complimentary breakfast, including premium coffee, juice, and a signature bagel bar

  • A 24-hour retail market for travelers on the go.

Hilton expects three to six months to renovate a hotel that qualifies to Spark specifications and could quickly become one of the largest in Hilton’s 7,000 hotel portfolio.

Hilton Honors will be available to Spark by Hilton guests upon opening.
