Google has released its latest round of booking updates just in time for booking your summer escapades. The tech giant announced three new features that might make planning your next trip a whole lot easier. So, what are the new features?
Hotel browsing has a new look
Google is making it easier to browse hotels on your phone. Now, when you click on a hotel option, you’ll be able to explore the property in a swipeable story format. And, with a single tap, you can pull up more details about the area and view summaries of what people find notable about the property. Personally, I still prefer to book on my computer, but this makes browsing on my phone a lot more bearable.
The best flight deal or your money back
No more buyer’s remorse thanks to Google. It is piloting a flight guarantee program where you can get a refund on your flight if the price goes down before your departure date. Read our more in-depth explanation of how the program works here.
Booking an experience is a whole lot easier
Sightseeing is one of the best parts of traveling but it can also be the most stressful to plan. Booking a simple tour can lead to a goose hunt on a site’s website to find where they’ve buried ticket prices. Now, when you search for attractions on Google, you’ll find prices directly on the listing plus a link to book your ticket. You’ll also find suggestions for related experiences so you know you’re not missing out on anything.
These might not seem like big updates, but we will take anything that makes booking our adventures a little bit easier.
