Amex points are already some of the most transferable out there. With eighteen airlines and three hotel partners, cardholders are spoilt for choice – especially if they’ve recently grabbed one of Amex’s massive intro bonuses.
But for a limited time, Amex can go up to 30% further than normal, thanks to its fall bonus program. Most transfers between Amex and its partners are set at 1:1 with a few exceptions, but the current offer tips the ratio in favor of the customer for twelve partners. Put simply; you’re getting points for nothing. Here are some of the best offers:
British Airways -1000 Amex points = 1250 Avios (ends 09/30)
Virgin Atlantic – 1000 Amex Points = 1300 Virgin Points (ends 09/30
Hawaiian Miles – 1000 Amex Points = 1200 HawaiianMiles (Ends 09/30)
Hilton – 1000 Amex points = 2600 Hilton Honors Points (09/30)
Personally, I’m jumping on the British Airways deal. With no direct flights from Glasgow to Munich, I need to fly through London. With the 57,000 points sitting in my Amex account, I’ll grab an extra 14,250 points when transferred into Avios – enough to cover my costs to London. That’s a free flight for no other reason than good timing.
