I have a confession to make. I’ve never seen Ted Lasso. I blame it on my unfounded annoyance with the goofy grin that Jason Sudeikis always seems to sport. But if you’re unlike me, and have seen the show, you’ll be thrilled to know that, in celebration of the third season of the Apple TV+ hit, which debuts on Wednesday, March 15, one of the show’s most loveable characters is giving fans a fun overnight opportunity.
Annette Badland, who portrays Mae—the pub owner and a barmaid of The Crown & Anchor in the Richmond upon Thames—will host three overnight stays at The Crown & Anchor pub, known in real life as The Prince’s Head.
The real-life pub is a beloved and lively hangout for football fans and locals alike. On the series, it serves as the meeting place for the coaches and players of AFC Richmond. For the first time, visitors will have the chance to spend a night at the quaint, historic pub in the neighborhood, and step into the roles of AFC Richmond coaches, players, and the bothersome regulars who frequent the establishment.
About the stay and how to book
Up to four individuals will have the chance to stay overnight on October 23, 24, and 25, 2023, each for the price of £111 per night, a tribute to the number of players on a football team. Guests may request to book up to three separate one-night stays and will have the opportunity to embody the roles of a coach or pub owner, experiencing the thrill of commanding a team or running an establishment.
Starting at 1pm EST on Tuesday, March 21, Ted Lasso enthusiasts can make a reservation for this unique stay by visiting airbnb.com/tedlasso. Guests are accountable for their transportation to and from Richmond.
