March is filled with great events. It’s the kickoff for spring and longer days ahead; Women’s History Month; and most importantly, my birthday month. It’s also the beginning of cherry blossom season.
Symbolic and stunning, cherry blossoms are a sight to behold beginning in March and lasting through mid-May. The flowers of the cherry tree show off their vibrant pink and white blossoms in the springtime, and from a single tree to a wealthy cluster, they create a jaw-dopping display—nature’s eye candy if you will.
The cherry tree is native to Japan, but can also be found in many other countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, and Europe. As you fill out your calendar this month and next, consider adding outdoorsy adventures to your travel plans that celebrate the allure of the fleeting cherry blossom season.
