I’ve always wanted to be the type of person who enjoys traveling solo, but honestly, I’m just not that cool. Maybe what I need is a travel giveaway that pushes me off the cliff of uncertainty and lands me at a luxe hotel with unlimited french fries, which is exactly what a new giveaway is offering—and then some.
Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, is giving the solo travel skeptics, like me, and the push we all need to spend some quality time with ourselves. In an Instagram post, Blakely announced the giveaway in partnership with Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina, where one lucky winner will get to enjoy a solo trip to the luxurious destination.
Blakely, who took a solo vacation to the five-star hotel herself, hopes that the giveaway will encourage people to take time alone and recharge, which can make them better parents, friends, coworkers, partners, and humans. Blakely said that the solo trip,in honor of her 50th birthday,was one of the best things she’s ever done for herself.
The winner of the travel giveaway will receive airfare, daily massages, and unlimited french fries. To enter, participants need to follow Blakely on Instagram, tag three friends who they think deserve a solo vacation, and share the post in their stories, tagging Blakely. The contest will end on March 27, 2023, and the winner will be chosen randomly.
The resort, which spans 20,000 acres, boasts rolling hillsides, a private nature reserve, two villages, a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, nine restaurants, and a private chapel where Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin tied the knot in 2021.
