Puerto Rico is painting the town red-orange. The sunny island just got its own exclusive Pantone shade and it’s celebrating the launch of the “Puerto Rico Sunshine” shade with a Sunshine Shop and a Sunshine Route.
Sunshine Shop
To capture the spirit of Puerto Rico in a color, scientists used a series of models and calculations to measure and track the warm Puerto Rican sun. You can buy the limited-edition Pantone paint color or explore the Sunshine Shop, which has curated and locally-made products in the color.
Some products include a chuchería bag (meaning “lovely little things”) made by a women-owned co-op, jewelry and accessories, dry bags for any surf and sand adventures, chocolates made with local passionfruit, popsicles, and so much more.
Sunshine Route
To get visitors more familiar with all the island has to offer, Puerto Rico is also introducing a “Sunshine Route” which highlights vibrant locations across the country. The route includes everything from urban pitstops like the Metro region, a light show at the Distrito T-Mobile, ice cream and chocolate shops, sunset sails on Juan Bay, wildlife sanctuaries, and breathtaking beaches.
