As travel bounces back from the pandemic with full-throttle, companies like Priceline and Airbnb are focusing their efforts on travel experience offerings.
On Wednesday, Priceline launched Priceline Experience, a new feature that offers customers the option to book more than 80,000 activities in more than 100 countries. The activities they are offering up include everything from theme park tickets, museum visits, and guided tours.
Their new feature is similar to Airbnb Experiences, which Airbnb is reinvesting in after a two year pause due to the pandemic. “Experiences will become once again a rising priority, and we are making quite a few investments in the product to continue to highlight experiences,” Airbnb’s co-founder and CEO, Brian Chesky, said in a recent interview.
The increased focus on offering up easier ways for travelers to find curated travel experiences shows a promising trend that people want to travel not only for the Insta-worthy pics but also for genuine connection
