Marriott is getting into the apartment business again, bringing serviced accommodations to the US and Canada, and I can’t wait to book and pretend that I live there while on vacation.
In response to rising consumer demand, Marriott International is introducing Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy, apartments-style accommodations for travelers seeking more choices for relaxing comfortably while still getting their work done as they blend work and leisure.
The company has been in the serviced-apartment business for 26 years with Marriott Executive Apartments, having serviced-apartment brands in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
With Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott expects to expand its global presence in the serviced-apartment market in the US and Canada.
What to expect from Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy:
Upper-scale and luxury segment apartments with 1-3 bedrooms.
Distinctively designed products in every apartment reflecting the local community.
Each apartment includes separate living and bedroom areas, full kitchen, and in-unit washer/dryer.
Traditional services such as food, beverage, meeting spaces, and retail won’t be available.
Marriott seems to be pumping out more and more brands than customers can keep track of. To be honest, I appreciate having options but I’d be much happier with a complimentary breakfast actually worth waking up for. Thanks for the free bowl of plain Cheerios, I guess.
