I love JetBlue, I love Paris, and I love a flight deal, so excuse me if my enthusiasm for this news is over the top. The New York based-carrier is gearing up for summer just the way I like: with flights to Paris. The service, scheduled to begin on June 29, includes a single flight operating each day between JFK in New York and Charles de Gaulle (CDG) in Paris. The best part? The flights are cheap.
Tickets are on sale now for JetBlue’s new route to Paris, with roundtrip tickets as low as $479 in economy class. If you’re feeling bougie (which I usually am), book Mint business class for just $1,899. These rates are available for a very limited time.
To score the deal, you must book before March 9 and travel between September 10 and December 8, returning between September 17 and December 13. According to the airline’s policy, the offer requires a round-trip reservation with a Saturday night stay. Travelers originating from Paris may begin their journey by December 9 and still enjoy the discounted rates.
“Our successful London service proves customers can book low fares without compromising great service,” said JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes. “We are excited to continue disrupting the transatlantic market and offer business and leisure customers traveling to and from Paris an opportunity to experience our highly acclaimed Mint and core products in a market that has suffered from high fares by legacy carriers for far too long.”
In addition, the plane will include various JetBlue trademark conveniences such as unlimited, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and live TV channels, along with spacious overhead bins. Geraghty stated that passengers can expect a touch of French elegance during their flight, including access to a variety of French films to enjoy during the journey.
Personally, I’m looking forward to JetBlue kicking off the Boston-to-Paris journey this fall so I can entice my mother to purchase tickets for us out of her home hub for a mother-daughter getaway. Note: She always flies Mint.
