Starting in October, Colombia will allow remote workers to live and work in Colombia on two-year digital nomad visas.
Colombia is only the latest country to take advantage of the burgeoning digital nomad trend. Like most other countries that allow digital workers, their main goal is to attract international visitors for an extended period of time to help bolster their economy.
To be considered for the visa, applicants must meet the following requirements: have a passport that is valid for up to three months after the visa expiration, a letter in English or Spanish that includes details about your position, and insurance covering your stay.
Applicants must also provide bank statements that prove they earn at least $684 per month. The amount is considerably less than that of countries like Costa Rica which require earnings of $3,000 a month
