Namaste, everyone. Namaste.

Despite being opposed to yoga on a molecular level, thanks to my increasingly tight limbs, I understand that it’s something of a passion for millions of you.

There’s no denying the benefits of yoga for your body, your mind, and (if you’re into it) your spirit, and there’s no reason why that should stop just because you’re traveling. If you’ve never tried it, maybe a stunning beachside lesson is what you need to spark an interest.

Wherever you’re at in your journey, these are some of the best hotels for yoga lovers. Add ‘em to your list, grab your mat, and get ready to center your chakras or whatever.

Civana Wellness Resort

Civana Wellness Resort

Location: Carefree, Arizona
Price: $500+
Vibe: Carefree by name, carefree by nature
The rundown: There was always going to be a wellness retreat in a town called Carefree. And what a place it is. The atmospheric desert location makes for a spectacular but serene backdrop to your wellness pursuits. Its outdoor yoga classes, at sunrise and sunset, stare out into the emptiness, gifting true calm as you work through your poses.

With so many other options to experiment with, it’s likely yoga will only be one facet of your stay—there are group fitness classes, pilates, this odd yoga while hanging from a rope thing, and a world-class spa. It’s easily one of the best hotels with yoga classes in the US.

Mid-range

Grand Hotel Kempinski

Location: Riga, Latvia
Price: $250+
Vibe: Elegant rooftop retreat
The rundown: As unique experiences go, Riga’s Grand Hotel Kempinski is up there. While the hotel itself is one of the finest properties in the country, oozing luxury and elegance at every turn, its yoga classes are particularly special. While most hotels with yoga classes are found on the beach or a studio, this one heads upstairs.

Hosted on the roof of the hotel, guests can enjoy the stunning centuries-old Riga skyline as they move through their class. Not content with simple classes, the hotel often introduces special events, including yoga, to the sound of a live cello performance, elevating the experience even further.

Grand Residences Riviera

Location: Cancun, Mexico
Price: $320+
Vibe: Yucutan yogi paradise
The rundown: Cancun’s not known for being the most relaxing place in the world. As one of America’s favorite destinations, it’s regularly swarming with tourists, making even the best resorts a little hectic at times. But just far enough away from the chaos is Grand Residences Riviera Cancun. Designed beautifully and nestled amongst Puerto Morelos, guests are enveloped by its sprawling suites and outstanding service.

For yoga lovers, its morning classes by the sea are an absolute highlight. Often held on the beach, with the sea air blowing gently through the class, there’s no better way to ease into a day on the Riviera.

Paradise Plage Surf Yoga and Spa

Location: Imi Ouaddar, Morocco
Price: $145+
Vibe: Moroccan meditation
The rundown: If you’re looking for hotels with yoga classes, it helps if yoga is in the name. Paradise Plage Surf Yoga and Spa has you covered. This family-friendly resort offers something for everyone. While the kids lap up the fun in the supervised pool and kids club, the grown-ups can hit one of the multiple different zen-inducing activities, notably surfing or yoga. Oh, and it’s in Morocco. Could it be any better?

Sessions take place both on the beach, with the water lapping at your feet, or in the bright studio facing out to the sea. Either way, you’re in for a wave of tranquility before you link back up with the little ones.

Bagus Jati

Location: Ubud, Indonesia
Price: $100+
Vibe: Bali-based bargain
The rundown: The price doesn’t even make sense if you look at the photos. Bagus Jati is a slice of heaven. While its reputation as a wellness retreat speaks for itself, just existing within its grounds is enough to calm even the most tense among us.

Its yoga classes are excellent, and for the true devotees, there are weekly all-inclusive retreats with multiple guided classes and other activities spread out throughout the stay. This would be more expensive than the base price for a room, but it comes lauded and is still a comparative bargain. Of course, there are plenty of hotels with yoga classes in Bali, but we think this could be the pick of the bunch.

Gingerhill Farm Retreat

Location: Hawaii, US
Price: $99
Vibe: High-value Hawaiin escape
The rundown: Who says Hawaii has to be expensive? Gingerhill Farm Retreat offers an escape from the everyday, for as little as $99. The humble hideaway boasts immaculate suites, fully immersed in the surrounding natural environment. Guests are lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean, the forest, and even the animals inhabiting the area.

Private yoga classes are available, or if you book the farm as a full-blown retreat, they can be included in a package. The environment is perfectly suited to embrace the calm, reconnect with nature, and even yourself.
