Marriott is gearing up to launch its new Abound ownership program. The new concept is an extension of its existing vacation ownership program that allows members to purchase vacations at designated clubs.
The new program will allow members access to over 90 vacation clubs worldwide, thousands of Marriott hotels, vacation homes, and experiences like cruises or tours. Sheraton and Westin vacation clubs are also included in the program.
Abound is firmly directed at a younger generation of owners who want to travel more than stick to one vacation spot, as was the norm in the old initiative. The announcement comes just weeks after the brand expanded its private short-term rental programs, in direct competition with Airbnb
