Bigger, better, and a lot more more fun seems to be Royal Caribbean’s aim with their new and long-awaited cruise ship, Icon of the Seas, the largest of any cruse ship in the world.
As of today, bookings for Icon of the Seas are officially open to all customers. The mega ship, designed to become the gold standard for family vacations, will place a focus on family-focused suites, pool areas, and entertainment, while still offering plenty of fun for the adults.
“We set out to create a vacation that makes all that possible in one place for the thrill-seekers, the chill enthusiasts, and everyone in between, without compromise,” President and CEO of Royal Caribbean, Michael Bayley said. “It’s this first-of-its-kind combination that makes Icon the future of family vacations, and that future is here.”
Photos of Icon of the Seas show that it will boast 7 different pools, the largest waterpark ever built on board a cruise ship, eight neighborhoods, over 40 dining and nightlife options, and innovative entertainment. Starting in 2024, the new cruise line will sail seven-night Caribbean voyages year-round from Miami. Finally, Icon will set a record for the world’s largest passenger ship, holding a maximum capacity of 7,600 people.
Starting today, travelers can book their cruise adventures on Royal Caribbean’s website and look forward to experiencing a beach retreat, resort escape, and theme park adventure all in one.
