The slopes are calling before temperatures rise later in the year, and for frequent skiers or snowboarders, now is the cheapest time to buy a season pass with early bird prices! The 2024/2025 Epic Pass is now on sale for $982, up $73 from last year.
What does the pass unlock?
The Epic Pass allows unrestricted entry to 42 resorts including Vail Mountain, Whistler in Canada, Park City, Utah, and Breckenridge, Colorado. The 2024/2025 Epic Pass is also expected to allow access to Crans-Montana Mountain Resort in Switzerland, marking the company’s second ski resort in Europe, following Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis, which is also in Switzerland.
Is there a less expensive option?
For $731, the Epic Local Pass offers unlimited access to 29 mountains in the US, along with 10 days to use at Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, and Whistler Blackcomb. However, blackout dates apply during peak holidays like Christmas and New Year’s.
Skiers out East can opt for the $600 Northeast Value Pass, with access to 21 resorts, including Stowe, Mount Snow, and Okemo. If skiing just one to seven days per season, consider Epic’s customizable day pass, often 65% cheaper than regular lift tickets.
Pass prices usually rise in September and October, with sales concluding in late November or early December. Skiers who purchased a lift ticket this year at a Vail Resorts-owned or operated North American mountain can apply the cost of one day’s ticket, up to $100, towards a 2024/25 Season Pass.
