Indulging in deep-fried Oreos and a ridiculously oversized cup of lemonade before hopping onto a questionably operated fair ride may sound like a dangerous activity one should be compensated for. However, I willingly engage in this experience, and I’m sure many of us do.
Fortunately, AmericInn by Wyndham is offering up some big bucks to experience all the highs and possible regrettable lows of fair life, by giving away $15,000 to a family who is willing to attend three state fairs across the Midwest over the course of a week, on or about August 11-18.
What are the details?
The selected family will be rewarded with a $10,000 travel stipend and $5,000 in cash and have the pleasure of spending seven nights at an AmericInn hotel. The job is simple: explore the state fairs, savor the food, enjoy the rides, and provide a report on the standout highlights. This report will contribute to the creation of the future AmericInn “Best of the Midwest Fair Guide.”
Alongside the generous compensation, the family will also receive a suitcase filled with AmericInn merchandise and a coveted Wyndham Rewards Diamond level membership with exclusive benefits.

To apply, you can email fairfamily@americinn.com with your family’s 300-word essay, along with a family photo or a 60-second video, showcasing why you should be chosen as AmericInn’s State Fair Family. Applications will be accepted until July 25.
