I always laugh thinking about my first experience on a budget airline. It seems like despite the low cost, you get trapped paying for everything from your carry-on luggage to an eight-ounce bottle of water. I’ve since gotten savvy, doing the math and weighing convenience factors to decide if the low fare is really worth it. But if there’s one thing that will put a halt to all my calculations, it’s the words “unlimited.”
Fly Frontier as many times as you want this summer
Frontier Airlines has introduced the GoWild! Summer Pass, which offers unlimited travel on Frontier’s domestic and international network from May 2 to September 30. Retailing for $999, for a limited time travelers can score the summer pass for just $399 per person. Once purchased, travelers can fly the budget airline as many times as their wanderlust hearts desire.
How to use the pass
Once you purchase the pass, you can utilize it by logging into your Frontier miles account, searching for and booking a flight the day prior to domestic departures or up to 10 days prior to international departures, and paying a one-cent airfare fee along with any relevant taxes, fees, and charges.
What’s the catch?
Naturally, the a-la-carte ethos of Frontier means that seat selection and baggage are not included, so plan to purchase those separately. There are also some blackout dates to be mindful of, including over the Memorial Day and Fourth of July holiday weekends. Furthermore, you can’t earn miles or status with travel booked using the pass. Lastly, be mindful of auto-renewal! The pass will automatically renew next year until you cancel it, and the 2024 fee will go back up to $999.
