While I’m a “whatever’s cheapest” type of car rental person, I can appreciate some alternative incentives when it comes to choosing which company to book with. Delta and Hertz are making it even more enticing to give them business with the news of their expanded partnership.
New and enhanced rewards
With the expanded partnership, effective January 30, 2023, SkyMiles members will earn 4-8 miles per dollar spent on Hertz rentals, depending on their Delta Medallion status.
Diamond Medallion (8x)
Platinum Medallion (7x)
Gold Medallion (6x)
Silver Medallion (5x)
SkyMiles member (4x).
Note that SkyMiles members still earn 4x miles per dollar spent with Dollar and Thrifty. To earn SkyMiles, the SkyMiles number must be provided at the time of reservation. Miles are not earned on taxes, fees, and other charges.
Medallion Members now get elite status with Hertz Gold Plus Rewards
Delta SkyMiles Medallion members can now enjoy elite status with Hertz Gold Plus Rewards, thanks to this partnership as well. Hertz President’s Circle corresponds with Diamond and Platinum Medallion members, and Hertz Five Star corresponds with Gold and Silver Medallion members. Link your accounts here to receive the offer.
As a Delta Medallion member, your President’s Circle status with Hertz will remain valid as long as you stay active. This partnership has no set expiration date but can be terminated with a six-month notice.
