I’m the type of person who flashes her phone light blindingly in the rideshare as she exits —mostly because I’m notorious for losing things, and I’m sick of hearing about it from people. But, I’d like to hope if I do leave a thing or two behind, it wouldn’t be worthy of Uber’s newest lost and found list findings.

Uber released its annual list of items left in vehicles by riders, and I’m concerned. You’d think there are some things that simply can’t get lost in a rideshare, like your teeth or your dog, but the world is wild.

Several living things were reported lost

The only living thing I’ve left behind in an Uber is my fiancé when he’s making me mad and I don’t want to wait for him, but I’d never leave behind my first born cat. Uber’s newest list confirms multiple dogs, turtles, hamsters, and at least one rat, have been forgotten in rides. Thankfully, all were safely reunited with their owners.

Truly bizarre items were also a big hit

The report revealed other intriguing losses, like over 40 sets of dentures and false teeth, an ankle monitor, a remote control vibrator, a 16-ounce container of fake blood, a slushie machine, a slab of bluefin tuna, and a “power of attorney document issued by Turkish consulate.”

The most forgetful cities, times, and month

The report broke down the most forgetful cities, with Jacksonville, Florida taking the top spot. San Antonio, Houston, Atlanta, and Indianapolis also featured in the top 10. Unsurprisingly, Saturday and Sunday ranked as the most forgetful days of the week, with 11 pm the witching hour for people reporting lost items. April stood out as the most forgetful month.
