Take a hike
During the pandemic, US national parks experienced a surge in visitation, resulting in overcrowding and long wait times. To showcase less-visited parks, National Parks Uncovered featured hidden gems like Biscayne National Park and Lassen National Park, Baths National Park in the British Virgin Islands, and Hallasan National Park in South Korea as beautiful hiking destinations.
Spring over to Cape Cod
Traveling to Cape Cod in the off-season has its benefits, including milder weather, cheaper hotel rates, and fewer crowds. Despite the high-50-degree temperatures, there are still plenty of activities to enjoy, like whale watching, biking, museums, and art galleries.
Restore coral reefs through scuba diving
Participate in the Coral Restoration Foundation’s dive programs to help restore coral reefs off the coast of Florida, learn about coral restoration, and assist with clean-up and planting. Volunteers with an extended stay can work in the coral nursery, outplant new coral, or monitor the coral. The rate includes a two-tank dive and a donation to the foundation.
